Many times during feeding and tank maintenance, we all have to deal with a little bit of gore. Maybe you have to crush or cut feeder insects for animals that are too young for live prey. Or you might have to feed multiple snakes and they like to hit their thawed mouse or rat so hard that they leave the tail still attached to the tongs.

Maybe during watering you discover some items in the tank that need to be removed, like tarantula molts or recently-shed snake skin. Maybe take out a little mold or some sketchy substrate. When these things happen, the last thing you want to do is put those gnarly tongs directly on a table top.

A super simple solution is prepping your workspace with dental bibs. They'll protect your tabletop from minor spills, bug guts, and contaminated tools (that you should be cleaning, btw).
